  1. there is an aspect of thing A that a subject abstracts from the thing itself. This aspect becomes a sort of concept, therefore changes status, from the kingdom of realword to the kingdom of ideas and explanations. Then, when facing object B, the subjects finds that A-related concept can be applied to interpret B. If the A-related concept is perceived "big" enough to cover a significant part of the "essence" of A, the subject will say that A and B "are similar".
